BALOS LAGOON
The Balos Lagoon is situated at the western side of the Chania county, on the left cape called Old Gramvousa. One can visit it in two ways, by car up to a certain point where the road stops, and then can continue on foot, and by boarding on the ferry from the Kissamos port. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and thousands if tourists visit it every year. It has beautiful turquoise waters of varied depths (you can even play football on water), gorgeous sand of different colours such as white, pink and purple, and make sure you keep an eye for those bright yellow sea shells!
